I am so excited to eat yummy desserts over the holiday season! I might have just lost 10 lbs for that reason only! Holiday baking is my favorite thing, and I am kind of excited that my daughter is old enough to really help me out in the kitchen this year. I say “kind of” only because I don’t really like that she is growing up, but you all already knew that! Anyway, that’s basically the only reason I lost the weight was so that I could make a festive holiday treat once, maybe twice (don’t judge) a week leading up to Christmas. My daughter and I have already picked out about a dozen we are excited to make from our new Christmas dessert cookbook! Most of which come out of this new cookbook Christmas Desserts: Sweets of the Season by Laura Powell who runs the blog realmomkitchen.com! I have been reading her blog for about 5 years now, and her recipes are amazing!
This book is no exception. I had my husband look through it and he kept saying, “oh and make these, and these, oh and those look really good!” We have already made her Foolproof Peanut Butter Fudge. Actually, I can’t take credit for it at all. My daughter made the whole thing because it really is as foolproof as it says it is. The one thing I love about this cookbook is that all of the recipe are simple and use mostly ingredients you already have, minus Eggnog. Which, by the way, I can’t wait to make her eggnog cookies! We are kind of obsessed with eggnog around our house so I am sure these cookies will be devoured in minutes!
So if you want to sweeten up your holidays with Christmas Desserts this is the book for you! With this delicious collection of 20 seasonal recipes, you’ll enjoy treats like Gingerbread Cheesecake Squares, Chewy Popcorn Balls, Red Velvet Crepes, and more! Not only does this affordable ($4.99), full-color pamphlet make the perfect gift for neighbors, coworkers, and friends, but these festively flavored recipes will soon become family favorites.

Thanks for the review on this one; the recipes sound yummy. Regretfully, I have to figure out low sugar recipes due to my sweet husband now having diabetes. We are hoping he can treat it with just diet.
However, I can make yummy desserts for others.
Blessings for this one!
