I can’t believe this year is almost over. 2013 flew by! December went by so fast. I can’t believe how quickly Christmas came and went! We had a wonderful holiday seasons. Despite the fact that all seven of us are sick today. I know, fun New Years Eve for us huh? 🙁 Oh well. We will all be going to bed at 8 o’clock tonight!
How was your holiday season? I know it can be a bit crazy for everyone, but it can especially be crazy for us moms! Between the increased amount of sugar in our children, to crazy amounts of people at the store while you are trying to shop with all the kids, to hoping/wishing everything goes exactly as planned. It can be pretty crazy, and sometimes we just have to pray to get through it all. But on the upside, we are building lasting memories that our kids will remember forever. And as a mom you don’t want to forget those wonderful times. Sprout calls these experiences “Holiday MOMents”. From funny, outrageous, to sweet and priceless. Sprout is encouraging us to celebrate them all. Check some of them out here.
I had my own “Holiday MOMent” the other night. We had been asked to participate as a family in a live nativity for our community. It was a huge honor and I was so excited about it. Then I remembered that it might not be possible for all of us to participate, but I really wanted our whole family to be in it!
If you know my kids you know they aren’t very quiet. Especially my 2 year old. He talks loud and when he is frustrated he has this scream that is ear piercing. Also, my baby, when he is tired, cries and cries if he is not being rocked. I knew that most likely my husband or I would have to stay backstage with both the boys. My older boys gratefully to right to their parts and were very quiet and loved every bit of it! My daughter also played her role perfectly. We decided to dress the babies up and hope they would be good. There were two shows. During the run through both the babies did great, so I decided that we would see how they did during the first show.
My husband and I both took a child and held them while we were on stage, and I kid you not, not one word, sound, grunt, cry, came out of their mouths. It truly was a Christmas Miracle!!

That was a very special Christmas moment. Thanks for sharing it and the pictures were awesome. I am so happy you had this opportunity to do this as a family; what a memory.
We had our Nativity moment with our grandchildre and great grandchildren that live in Heber; it was sweet.
Blessings and have a wonderful New Year and I hope you are all feeling better soon.
