Last week was our Blue & Gold Banquet for Cub Scouts. It is like a “Birthday Party” celebrating the scouting anniversary! They asked each boy to make their own cake with little help from parents! I asked my son what he wanted to make and we looked on Pinterest for ideas. I love making cakes. You can see some of my cakes that I have made here, here or here. My son decided since we were having a pizza party that he would like to make a Pizza Birthday Cake. A cake that looked just like a pizza!
This cake is really easy any kid can make it! We just used a regular cake mix. You could for sure do this from scratch but that would be more work. We baked it in a 10″ Quiche or Tart Pan. We were going to get a pizza box and take it out of the pan, but we didn’t have time, so we just left it in the pan.
How to Make an Easy Pizza Birthday Cake
- Bake one 8-10″ White or Yellow Cake
- 1 Container of Frosting (Red or Dyed Red)
- White Chocolate Shredded to look like Cheese
- 1 Red Fruit by the Foot
- 1 Green Fruit Roll Up
Bake the Cake and Dye the Frosting Red
When cake is cooled frost it leaving the edge unfrosted
Shred the White Chocolate with a Cheese Grater
Cut out “Pepperoni” Fruit By the Foot using a 1 in” Circle
Cut up little pieces of pepper using the Green fruit Roll up!
Layer Cake and Enjoy!
He was so proud of himself and I was so proud of him! Look at that smile on his face! I helped him cut out a few pieces of the fruit roll ups, but he really did the whole thing himself, including taking it in and out of the oven which he was so scared of, but he did it!
You could have a fun pizza birthday party and make this simple and easy cake!!
