Disney Parks and MomSelect sent me free product in order to host this party. All opinions expressed are my own.
A few weeks ago, I was given the honor of hosting my first official #DisneySide Party. March is the month of parities for us with 3 birthdays, so why not just add one more to the list! It’s my birthday month, so we should celebrate all month long! Right? They sent me an awesome package to help me throw the perfect party, but this party was so simple you could totally do it for inexpensive at home!
A long time ago I wrote this post about how we are saving up to go to the Disneyland. We’re still saving our pennies and I know we will make it there one day!! I am SO excited for that day, but it hasn’t happened yet! One day it will happen. Which might be sooner than later, but don’t tell my kids that! So in the meantime I was excited when I got the chance to host this party. My kids, and I, love all things Disney and were super excited when this package arrived. The fun thing about this party is that even if I had to get all the stuff myself it wouldn’t have been very expensive. You can find all sorts of Mickey decorating stuff at almost any store in town for a great price!
We started off the festivities the day before when the kids and I made this fun Duff Tie-Dye cake with our new Wilton Mickey Mouse Cake Pan! This cake was really fun to make and the kids had fun helping me mix all the color! (this was my first of 3 cakes that I have to make this week!)
I decorated the table with the fun Mickey name tags the they provided. You can find TONS of free printables HERE at this site! Just click on “Activities and Recipes” and then “Home Celebrations”. They have invitations, food labels, a party banner, and coloring pages. They also have a lot of suggestions for fun games and activities to play and great recipes for food to eat!

Mickey’s Cake turned out fabulous! I had a lot of fun making it! It was really easy to make with just a star tip! As far as black frosting goes. I totally recommend the Wilton Black Color Mist. It’s a lot easier than trying to dye your frosting black. Another tip when decorating your cake is to slide parchment paper all around the edge so the frosting doesn’t get all over your cake plate and you don’t have to transfer it to another plate!
We also served…
Minnie’s Veggies – Carrot Stick, Cucumber Wedges and Baby Tomatoes
Pluto’s PB&J’s
Pete’s Meat Sandwhiches
Daisy’s Delicious Fruit Salad
and Donalds Drinks!
When the friends arrived we were ready to go! We played a trivia game to start the party out. Then the kids played Pin the Smile on Mickey, which was so fun. After that they ate lunch! The kids played a few other games and the adults played the Quote and Attrition Match-up game!
It ended up being a really fun party. The guest enjoyed themselves, and better yet they each got to take home a little bag full of goodies! I really enjoy having parties! I can’t wait for my next party! Hmmm Maybe an easter party! We do have a fun mountain behind us to hide Easter eggs! Now I got myself thinking….
Do you ever just host a party for fun! Tell me about it in the comments!

This looks like such a fun party! That Mickey cake is my favorite but I love all the food ideas you shared too. Definitely a fun way to enjoy Disney without spending all that time and money to go to Disneyland.
