Chocolate Eclair Cake {+Giveaway}

December 3, 2015 by The Things I Love Most

I know, you might be in total shock that that title above has the word cake in it since I have been talking so much about pie lately! But making cakes is one of my favorite things to do!  I love making my kids birthday cakes and all sorts of fun cakes for parties and other activities!  I received the really cool pan and knew exactly what I wanted to make with it.  A Chocolate Eclair Cake!  Chocolate Eclair Cake

Love Cooking Company sells this wonderful pan called the Mr.s Fields Fill N Flip.  You can create a surprise center by adding your favorite fillings to the inside of your cakes! Chocolate Eclair Cake 1

Bake your cake in the Mrs. Fields Fill N Flip™ according to the recipe. When it’s cool, flip the cake over and add filling – pudding, fruit, compote, anything you choose! – to the side with the large opening. Then flip the non-filled cake on top, and you have an amazing layered cake your friends and family will love! Available in round and square pans. When I first looked at the pan I was sceptical that it would would having so many groves, but with a little pam spray it all came out great! I knew that a chocolate eclair cake would be so yummy made with this pan!Chocolate Eclair Cake 2

Chocolate Eclair Cake

  1. 2 Cake Mixes
  2. 1 Box of White Chocolate Pudding
  3. 1 8oz Container of Cool Whip
  4. 1 Containter of Chocolate Frosting

Make the cake as directed on the package.  Make sure you grease the cake pans really well. I made two cake mixes, but you really only need like 1 1/2 (use the rest for cupcakes)  Chocolate Eclair Cake 3While waiting for the cake to cook, make the pudding for pie directions using 2 instead of 3 cups of milk.  Once pudding is set add 4 oz of Cool Whip.  When cake is done, flip it out carefully and let it cool on a cooling rack.  I took a little extra cake out of the center of the bottom cake so that I could fill it with more cream.  Fill with cream and carefully place the top of the cake on the bottom part of the cake.  Choclate Eclair Cake

If you have any overlap use a knife to cut it of to be level.  Wrap it and place in fridge so the center can get a little more solid.  Before serving frost it with Chocolate Frosting.  And Enjoy!Chocolate Eclair Cake
