Chicken Spaghetti

January 16, 2013 by The Things I Love Most

After I wrote the post about my Grandma’s Orange Carrot Jello, someone mentioned they wanted her Chicken Spaghetti recipe, so here it is!

Grandma’s Chicken Spaghetti
{Printable Version}
  • 1 Package of Spaghetti Noodles (Cooked)
  • 3 chicken breasts (cooked, baked, or boiled) and cut up in cubes (season how you like)
  • 1/2 stick of butter
  • 1 can cream of Mushroom or Chicken Soup
  • 1 can Mushrooms (optional)
  • 1 small jar 2 oz Pimentos (optional)
  • 1/2 pint Sour Cream
  • 1/2 c milk (only if mixture is too thick)
  • 1/4 cup + of Parmesan cheese (1/4 cup for mixture, and enough to sprinkle on top)
Put cooked noodles in the bottom of casserole dish, put chopped chicken on top of noodles.  In a sauce pan sauté mushrooms and butter, add sour cream, soup pimentos and cheese.  Let mixture come to light boil if it is too thick add milk.  Pour over chicken and press evenly over noodles.  took with more cheese and sprinkle with paprika for color.  Bake until bubbly 20-30 mins at 350.  Enjoy
I hate mushrooms so I don’t add anything mushroom, but if you love them everyone that I know loves this with the mushrooms in it!  Let me know how you like it.
