10 benefits of Working Out With a Jump Rope

February 13, 2015 by The Things I Love Most

jump ropeI’m happy to say I have been working out again at least 5 times a week and it feels great!  I went through a slump time when I had no desire to exercise. I must have been going through some sort of depression because I honestly didnt want to work out for the life of me.  I got over it, but it took a good month to decide I didn’t like who I was when I didn’t get at least a 20-30 minute hard exercise in during the day.  I’ve been walking, running a little, doing workout videos, and this week I just added a little jump rope to my routine!  I just went outside this morning and only jumped for about 5 minutes, but it was a great addition to a workout.  I was tired!

I’m exited to tell you about my new jumprope!  The only jump rope we had before I got this new one was one of the heavy duty school plastic ones.  I was excited to try out this new Jump Rope
from Bella Naturals.  It’s a super light weight cable with 4 High-grade metal ball bearings.  It’s great for all kind of exercise from staring beginners, WOD’s, Cross Fitness Training, Boxing, MMA Training and more!

I never really thought how great jumping rope can be for you, but I just read that in 15 minutes of jumping rope, you can burn off enough calories in a candy bar!  Next time I eat a candy bar I am going to go outside and jump rope for 15 minutes! Milky Ways are worth it 🙂

Here are 10 benefits of Working Out With a Jump Rope…

  1. It’s a cheap way to get in a good workout.
  2. Jumping rope can help aid in weight loss.
  3. Jumping rope increases your cardiovascular fitness.  It’s good for your heart!
  4. It’s a work out you can do anywhere.
  5. It requires very little space
  6. Jumping Rope will increase your muscle tone.
  7. Jumping rope works your whole body. From arms, legs, heart, abs, it does it all!
  8. It’s cardio and strength training in one!
  9. It helps with coordination!
  10. It’s fun!

Here is a little bit about the Jump Rope I got…

The ball bearings are meant to increase the number of revolutions per minute, this is the ideal rope if you need to achieve double and triple unders, as well as best PRs in your workout. The Jump Rope comes with refreshingly new features, including:

  • Unlike other ropes which have cheap plastic ball bearings, this has 4 high-grade metal ball bearings, which promote faster turning of the rope and longer durability.
  • The rope is also very light, making it easy for beginners to use
  • The cable is 10ft long, and adjustable to be used by people of different heights. This is probably my favorite feature!
  • With the rope, you also get a free nylon bag to carry it in.
  • This comes with a limited lifetime manufacturer guarantee.

There are a ton of great workout videos with jump ropes online. Just google them and change up the boring routine you do everyday by adding a little jump rope to the fun!

If you want to purchase this same rope go HERE on Amazon and check it out. It’s only $15.99 and comes with a warranty!

Have a great weekend, and Happy Valentines Day!!
