For the past few months every time I would go to my dashboard and see my Homeschool Blog I was bugged and had this feeling I needed to do something different. A few weeks ago I was introduced to a new Homeschool blog called Latter-Day Homeschooling. It is wonderful and got me really excited to start back up homeschooling which has been my plan all year. It asked for homeschool blog links that other people could link to. This is when I decided to fix up my homeschool blog so that I could link people to ME! Something that isn’t private like my other blog is. I started thinking of titles and looking at others homeschooler blogs. Then I also started looking at these blogs of people that aren’t homeschoolers. I have been totally amazed by peoples blogs and how informative they can be. I was kind of stumped at what to do and for a few weeks just tried not to think about it. I went to my homeschool blog and could see what I wanted and even worked on some headers in photoshop, but I couldn’t figure out all the computer stuff. A friend of mine this week just announced that she started a new blog. It is really fun! She is an awesome mom that has taught me a lot and I was so excited for her. The thought kept weighing on me that I needed to finish my blog. I figured out on my own how to make it wider, made a header and I got a navigation bar made. I then decided I didn’t want it to be just homeschool. I wanted to be able to talk about The Things I Love! {That is why I titled it so!} I have a lot of people asking me about homeschool or how I do this or recipes or other stuff. This will give them a place to go and find out the answers to their questions and not have to set up a blog account to access it.
This blog will consist of me writing about Family Life, Homeschool, Crafting, Food, Fitness, and Budgeting and Finances! {Fun Stuff}. I don’t know if a lot of people will read it, maybe not, but I am excited to share stuff with others. I am doing this because I like to write, and write about the things I love {I seriously never thought I would say I like to write…I hated to write in high school} Here goes!!!

Cute blog. I just found it through the oatmeal link at another blog and want to look at your blog more when I have time… In any case. the reason I stopped by was to say that maybe your kids won’t ear oatmeal b/c of the texture. My son is particularly difficult with textures and I find he doesn’t dive into steel cut oats as much as rolled oats. Both he and his sister likes instant oats (but I prefer the whole-er, healthier options) So, we tend to overnight crockpot oatmeal a lot, whcih makes it softer and more appealing to them. They both love oatmeal with ample syrup or with different flavors of agave. My son likes that and that’s all. My daughter, husband and I like other toppings, too – apples, nuts, raisins, etc. Everything rests on textures for each of though. So, maybe if you can figure out what texture your kids like, you’ll be golden. Good luck!

I love your blog! I’m excited to have stumbled upon it. I have wanted to change my blog layout, and after reading this I really think I should (I have the same layout I started out with, which I have wanted to change repeatedly but never taken the time to learn how to make my own headers etc.). I’m inspired! Now… to find the time. :O I have 4 youth, and I homeschool them too. I was also homeschooled growing up, and I loved it!
PS I love your apron! And I think it is that photo of you in it that led me to your blog. I sat working on a circle journal this morning (just prior to finding you on the computer) in which I drew a picture of an apron, and am about to create a collage or layout of sorts about myself with that apron as the focal point of the entry… (I’m so excited! :D). Now that I have seen your photo… I want one of myself in a real apron and not just the cut out that I just made. You may have just added to my own idea for a new layout for my own blog! 😀 *Thanks for the added inspiration! ;D I’ll probably be coming back to visit and get to know you better.
A fellow homescholar and homeschooling mom, and new blogging friend, Corine 😀
