My name is Kendra! I am a born and raised Utahn, and am proud of it!! I have four siblings that I love to death. A wonderful Mother and Step Father, and a great Father and Step Mother! I was raised as a homeschooled child and really enjoyed it. {except the few days I begged to go to public school because all my friends did} Which now I thank my mom she didn’t send me. {Nothing against public school, I just loved being home schooled} Every member of my family was home schooled until the 9th grade and then we got to go to high school! {I think my mom had enough of us by that age!}
I am a member of the LDS Church and one day a cocky teenage boy moved into my ward when I was sixteen. After he went on a mission and humbled himself, he came back and swept me off my feet. We knew we were supposed to be together from the moment he walked me to my door after our second date, kissed me for the first time, and I said “I love you” and then we both looked totally shocked and then I said “I actually don’t know why I said that” and we both laughed. He asked me to marry him in December of 01′ and we were married in the Timpanogos Temple in March of 02′. We have been married for 8 great years. I will refer to my husband as “Pa” or husband in this blog (I know my friends that know me will laugh at that because one of the things I love is the Little House on the Prairie series). We call him “Pa” seeing that we tell our kids a “Down on the “W” Ranch” story every night and wish we lived in a big house with horses and a lot of land. {which we don’t, but we can dream right?!} Pa just seems fitting for him since that was what my little girl called him for the first three years of her life!
We have 4 beautiful children — a Girl we will call “LaLa“ because she is always in la la land! In her own little world of fairy tales, living on a ranch, or sitting in her room crafting the day away! A Boy I will refer to as “Cowboy” (because that is what he wants to be when he grows up), another Boy we will refer to as “Jack Jack” (you know from Incredibles) Yea, he is a lot like him. One minute all sweet and the next he turns into fire, and another boy we call #4. He is our new sweet baby and we havne’t come up with a better nick name for this blog yet!! I love my kids and husband so much. They are my life and my inspiration.
Now about the reason I started this blog! I went to college and got a Bachelors in Home and Family Life Economics at Brigham Young University. I thoroughly enjoyed my whole college experience and left with a lot of new knowledge. I took so many fun classes from Cooking, Sewing, Interior decorating, Family Finance, Design, Family Classes, and classes on Fashion {not my favorite} and even a few Basket weaving Classes! {no joke, I really did 3 times} Many people have asked what I could do with my major, and I told them that really quite frankly not much with out a masters. I guess I could have gotten a teaching certificate and gone on to teach Home Ec. or gone and worked at a State extension agency, but I was a mother of two kids when I got done with school and a wonderful husband that wanted me to stay home with them instead of work. Which worked for me, being a mom has always been my first priority. I could implement all of my learning at home! I am not a perfect mother, my house gets messy, I hate doing dishes, I like folding laundry and listening to a book on tape. My kids can be naughty and say mean things. I don’t make dinner every night. I don’t decorate my house for every holiday, but I know I am a good mom for my family and that I have some fun stuff that I can share! I learned a lot in school and am still learning a lot every day as a wife and mom. I hope that I can share some of my knowledge of these aspect of home life with others! ENJOY!!!

What a GREAT Idea! I just have to remember to look at the sight. If it doesn’t come up on my e-mail, I have a hard time remembering. Got any ideas of how to remember those sites?
