I got to take my kids to Disney On Ice – Let’s Celebrate in Vegas this week!! I was SO excited when I got the opportunity from US Family to go to the show and review it on my blog!! The show is going on this week at the Thomas & Mack center in Las Vegas. It’s one colossal party on ice, with all your favorite Disney friends! Join Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse as they celebrate a Very Merry Unbirthday Party with Alice and the Mad Hatter; a Royal Valentine’s Day Ball with Disney Princesses, including Cinderella, Ariel and Tiana; a Hawaiian luau with Lilo & Stitch; a winter wonderland with Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear; a Halloween haunt with the Disney Villains and more in a magical medley of holidays, celebrations and festivities from around the globe.
{Do you see the pig ice skating…that was amazing!!}
We haven’t been able to take our kids to Disneyland, and I know this isn’t anything like that experience, but this was the next best thing for them!! I remember seeing it once when I was little and love it! I have always loved watching ice skating, but Disney on Ice ice skating is even better. The show was amazing! I surprised my kids and didn’t tell them we were going. I just told them to get in the car and be prepared to drive for a while!. The drive was a little over an hour and a half, but they were patient knowing we were headed somewhere fun that they had never been to. When we got there, my kids sat down in their chairs and didn’t talk for the whole show…well except for when they did the princess/prince skate (couples skating). They were blown away by the amazing moves, spins, and flips in the air!
That smile was glued to my daughters face the whole time. My son doesn’t look excited, but don’t let the picture fool you. He was mesmerized!! Our favorite parts were when they visited different countries! They had fire dancers and all sorts of fun stuff! The dragon was also a hit! During intermission my kids kept thanking me for bringing them, possibly because my boys got in a fight and I almost didn’t bring them, but I changed my mind and their consequence. I know awesome parenting huh? But I really think they were thankful. My daughter kept saying that it felt more like a dream because it was so amazing!
We had pretty great tickets, but my camera wasn’t taking the greatest pictures in the dark! Oh well, you can see how much fun we had! I would totally recommend it. I would also make sure if you go bring water. There was like one drinking fountain and it was hidden. Also prepare for your children to wish they had everything that they sell out side the show. It’s all super expensive. I told my kids they had to spend their own money on extra stuff. They got over it after they realized that the sword they wanted was $16. Also, we had to buy an extra ticket and I found it was way cheaper at the gate then ordering online. There are less fees and it’s way less of a hassle!
I have to tell you what the real magic of the show was…this little wiggle worm who I thought would just want to get down and be crazy the whole time, sat in my lap and was completely in awe by what he saw! Yeah for the happy tired one year old!!
So if you live close to Vegas, join the party and have fun! Get $5 off Thursday through Saturdays tickets by using code: MOMS HERE. Not valid on Front Row or VIP seats!
