I can not belive how fast this summer has gone. School here starts on Wednesday the 14th. That seems SO early to me! Obviously homeschooling has it’s benefits and one is that I can decide when to start school. We are actually going to go on our summer vacation the week school starts here and we will start in the full swing of things on the 26th! I have somewhat done school all summer, so I think taking a week long vacation with family is going to be wonderful!!
When I was a little kid one of my all time favorite things to do was go back to school shopping! I love new pencils, markers, paper, and obviously I love new clothes. My mom, even though we homeschooled, always made it a priority to make sure we felt like we got a few new things even though we stayed home.
As a parent it is a bit overwhelming to get those “list” and go out and shop for school supplies for each child, school clothes, lunch boxes, backpacks and books. Did you know that the National Retail Federation found that parents spent almost $700 (no, that’s not a typo) on back-to-school shopping last year! Wow that is alot! I went out yesterday and bought most of my school supplies for the year and still need to get more and have already spent a good chunk of change.
I am all about being a “Super Mom” and not spending too much on school supplies! A few ways I have saved on Back-to-School shopping is I only shop sales. I find great deals on clothes that are on sale and wait to buy things until they go on sale or I buy off season. As far as school supplies go I only shop for school supplies right before school. The deals are great and you really can’t get better prices than right now. I had to buy a few Wide rule Notebooks this last year and they were at least $1. Right now they are .17 cents. You can’t beat that. I bought 15 of them!!
I have written a few post about the new Whte Cloud Facial Tissues designed by those cute kids from the Childrens Hospitals. One of the things that are always on the school lists are tissues. White Cloud knows that going back to school can be overwhelming especially on your budget, and they know even a samll discount helps outs. That’s why they are offering a $.75 coupon off their tissue multipacks. You can get three or six to a box and not only are you getting a good deal on tissue, you are helping to make a difference in the life of a child when you purchase the limited edition White Cloud Facial Tissue. White Cloud will make a donation to three Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals in the areas that sell the most boxes!
White Cloud is carried exclusively at Walmart and is only available in select markets. You can check out the White Cloud Store Locator to find where they are sold. And before you go don’t forget to go to http://mywhitecloud.com/school-supply-list to print off your coupon.
You can follow the White Cloud Facebook Page, White Cloud Twitter Page, and White Cloud Pinterest Page to find out more about their tissues and hear about other deals going on!
Good luck all you “Super Moms” and save some money on school supply shopping!
I would LOVE to hear where you are getting your good deals this year.

Whenever I see the back to school end caps at the stores I have a slight twinge of missing buying all that stuff for my kiddos and then I am relieved that I no longer have to buy it! School supplies are expensive, especially when you have a house full of kids – I had 4. – And then there’s college.. Getting their dorms in order.. Lol. Eventually, I’m happy to say, they all get it under control just in time to bring you grandkids and now I find myself in those back to school aisles once again but this time just to “help out” a bit not because I have to. 🙂 – Great post. I’ll pass it on.
