Ya’ll (I can say that because I live in the country now!) know how much we love LeapFrog products around here! Their products just keep getting better and better! If you haven’t heard of the new LeapTV this thing is awesome. We have other devises that I won’t name that I really don’t like! Mostly because my kids aren’t learning anything while they are playing them and they just sit on their rears and stare a the screen. I also hate them because the kids handle the CD’s and they keep getting scratched. Ha, I’m not too sad about it! I was very excited when LeapFrog asked me to review their LeapTV Educational Gaming System. Gaming just got smarter with this educational, active video gaming system made for kids.
This game is perfect for any kid, although it does say between the ages of 3-8! My daughter even thought it was fun and she is 11! It is fun and any kid wold love it. My kids would so much rather play this, than sit and watch a movie now!
One of the features my kids liked the most was the camera feature where they could see themselves on the screen. They were laughing and having so much fun playing goalie during the Soccer game, and gathering as much Gold de Bloom in the Jake and the Never Land Pirate game! This game is going to be so much nicer for my 3 year old because he can actually play it, and not throw a fit and throw the remote when he can’t do it! All the instructions are vocal so they can understand what they need to do to get the games started!
One of the main things I love about the LeapTV is it gets them moving but also teaches them math, reading, science and problem solving without them even knowing it!
They have lots of fun games, Age-Appropriate Play Games that feature kid-friendly themes and play patterns that keep kids engaged and actively learning. Learn through Motion Games that encourage children to point, jump, swipe and wiggle, teaching and reinforcing the learning through movement. They also have “Grows with Your Child Games” adapt to each child—automatically leveling to keep kids learning at just the right level of challenge.** There are 3 ways to play – Body Motion, Classic Control or Pointer Play. The remotes are very well made, sturdy and easy to use!
The LeapTV would be a great Christmas present of your kiddos! The console is $149 and games are around $30 which is pretty average for a gaming console game. You can buy these games at any retail store such as
