Alright folks, I need to be honest with you. I mean you are my friends, right? So I need to come right out and tell you this information about my family! As much as you probably thought that I woke up early and cooked an amazing home cooked meal for breakfast…I don’t! I know, you are shocked! It’s ok, I make very fancy lunches and dinners. I just don’t have it in me at 7 a.m. to be cooking in the kitchen, getting ready to start school, and feeding the baby. My kids can all pour their own cereal, grab their smoothie out of the fridge and sit down and eat breakfast! It’s easy, and at 7 a.m. that is what I need! Don’t get me wrong though, I do make a mean home cooked breakfast for dinner!
Since I don’t make a fancy breakfast, we have cereal and an awesome smoothie, made by my husband (I know he is awesome) every morning for breakfast! (Well my kids do, I struggle with milk so only have it once a week!) Cereal is a staple for my husband. I tried for a few day to make home cooked breakfasts for our family and in walked my husband with two boxes of cereal on day three. I gave up!
I was excited when we got to try the new Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy cereal. So were my kids, so much so that I almost didn’t get any. Which I would have been totally mad about because just look how yummy these look!
It is available in two flavors, Cinnamon Crunch and Chocolatey Almond Crunch. I liked both. The cinnamon one had chuncks of yummy clustors, and the Chocolate one…well it had dark chocolate chunks and almonds. I mean really, I could not ask for a better combo! This cereal is packed with whole grains, protein and fiber, the combination of crispy whole grain flakes and granola clusters, and chocolate…yes dark chocolate people! YUMMY!
Have any of you tried these yet? What one was your favorite? If you HAD to pick between the two which one would you want?
You can find out more about these yummy Honey bunches of Oats flavors on Facebook and on Twitter!

I haven’t tried those flavors, but it is probably my favorite cereal!
