Have you heard of these bikes?  They are so cool.  I was excited when Strider Bikes offered to send me a strider bike to review for my little guy who is 22 months!!  He was SO excited when he saw it.  We have actually just had it in the house because we have a nice long stretch of wood floor he can practice on.  He loves it, and actually so does his 5 year old brother.   Little Mister gets so mad when Jack Jack borrows it.

{oh and I am a total helmet advocate, I just forgot to go grab it out of the garage}

The purpose of the strider bike is teach young children and toddlers balance and coordination.  Riding the Strider will also help them go straight to a pedal bike and not have to use training wheels.  This video explains it really well. 
My little guy started out just like that…standing up walking with it.  Within a few days of having it he is now sitting on the seat walking slowlywith it.  I am excited for that day when he tries to balance on it.

  17. I’d love to win this for my son! He loves bikes (he’ll always shout out “bi!” whenever he sees a bike), but he’s too little to pedal. This would be a great start for him!

  31. Oh I would love to win for Carter! He just turned 3, and really wants to ride with the bigger kids, but cant pedal yet. He would love to be able to push along with them and feel like a big kid too! What a great idea to help them learn to balance!

  40. My 2yo son loves hopping on his big sisters bike but is just too small for one of his own. A balance bike would be perfect!
