I saw these hats a while back and thought they were great. My daughter had Toticollis as a baby and it was not fun. I had to do stretches with her every few hours to help her neck so it wasn’t crooked. She was a reflux baby and had to sleep in her car seat, she tilted her head the same way all the time which made her neck muscles weak on one side. When I saw that these hats would help prevent plagiocephaly and torticollis (aka Flat Head Syndrome) I was really interested in them. And now even more so since this new baby won’t sleep anywhere but his car seat.
The hats comes in 3 sizes from 0-2 months, 2-4 months, and 4-6 months. They sell for $19.99. The Tortle is an infant cap or hat that was developed by a Pediatrician and Mom, Dr. Jane Scott. The Tortle helps to prevent flat head syndrome and helps to position baby’s head to promote roundness. It’s a natural way to encourage healthy head and neck motion, without any of the suffocation risks of repositioning pillows or wedges
The Tortle is recommended for all newborns. Tortle is a simple, safe & comfortable infant beanie that has been FDA-cleared to aid in the repositioning of your baby’s head. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that all newborns heads be repositioned regularly to help prevent flat head syndrome. By alternating Tortle’s positioning roll from left to right (behind baby’s ears) with each feeding, parents alleviate the flat spots and neck tightness that newborns often develop.
The Tortle is machine washable, and FDA cleared as a class 1 medical device, and a potion of the proceeds form every tortle purchase is donated to help the prevention and awareness of flat head syndrome.

Four of my six kids have had torticollis to some degree. After the second one I had the stretches and exercises down pat so I didn’t need to take the others to therapy. Something like this would have been awesome!
