I LOVE Pie. I know I write it all the time, but pie is the best dessert ever. Infact, I almost served pie at my wedding instead of wedding cake. I tried to think of a fancy way to make it look like a wedding cake but since my sister is a professional cake maker I decided to just let her go with making a regular cake, except one layer was what my husband loves the most and that is Rice Krispies Treats. There really wasn’t a way to sneak a pie in there!
I was SO excited to get to review Mrs. Smith’s Signature Deep Dish pies recently. We have had their regular pies, but these new Deep Dish pies are amazing. I was especially grateful to get them right before Thanksgiving right after we found we were going to have to stay home and have it on our own. It was such a relief to know I had 4 yummy pies in the fridge and that I didn’t have to make them from scratch. Here are the 4 kinds of pies they have. The special thing about them is they come with these awesome sauces so you can customize them to your liking.

Sadly I didn’t get the Peach, but we did get the three other kinds. Apple being my favorite (even cold) I think I ate 90% of the pie. The caramel sauce was an excellent adittion. My husbands favorite was the Pumpkin Pie with Cream Chesse Icing. He put the whole sauce packet on the top of the pie and has been eating it all week! We have yet to try the Cherry. We are saving it for our Christmas party next week!
This was our pie line up on Thanksgiving day. We barely made a dent in them because my kids just wanted hot chocoloate and a tiny slice. So my husband and I ate the pies all week! I was fine with that. Dutch Apple Pie for breakfast…YUMMY! (only when I am pregnant)
