20 Children Died in Newtown, Conn., School Massacre this morning. Wow! What a sad sad day it is today. I didn’t sleep at all last night, I am getting sick, and my daughter is really sick. I woke up just feeling blah, and I thought is was a bad day. Then I got on facebook and read about this devastating thing that happend in an elementary school in Newton Connecticut. I seriously can’t wrap my head around this, I am just so tearful. Such a sad thing to have happen. The poor families of these sweet children. The kids that heard and saw this all going on. 28 people dead, 20 of them Children. I can’t even imagine being in that area at this time.
People are posting this picture on facebook. This picture touched my heart and reminded me that God is mindful of all these families.
I think the only comfort we can feel is that these sweet sweet innocent children are with God. My friend posted the words to the song I heard the Bells on Christmas Day…{very fitting for all that is going on in that world right now}
“There is no peace on earth,” I said,
“For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.”
“God is not dead, nor doth He sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, good will to men.”
May we find peace at this time and look for the good around us, and hold our babies a little closer today.
