Avalon Bay AIR FRYER 200SS & PF Changs Copycat Desserts

October 6, 2015 by The Things I Love Most

I received this product in exchange for my honest review.  All opinions are 100% mine.

Food! I love it, and I love it when I can make it healthier. PF Changs is one of my all time favorite restaurants. The food there is always amazing, especially their lettuce wraps and Great Wall of Chocolate!  Thankfully we don’t have one where we live because we would spend way too much money going there for our date night every week!   The two recipes I am going to share with you today are usually deep fried but because of this Air Fryer that fries food using no oil I didn’t have to fry themPF Changs Copycat Desserts - Banana Spring Rolls & Sweet Vanilla Cream Wontons using an AIR FRYERThe Avalon Bay AB-AIR FRYER is so cool. I have been having a great time using it for all sorts of recipes. Last week we made Hot Dog Mummies, fried bananas, and sweet potato fries!  They all tasted amazing, and I felt a lot healthier not eating deep fried foods! Before I share the recipes I am going to tell you 5 reasons I love using an Air Fryer

Why I love the Avalon Bay Air Fryer

  1. It is easy to use –  It very self explanatory. It has an automatic shutoff, temperature control and is fun to use!
  2. It cooks things faster – It can cook all meats, produce, and even cakes.
  3. It’s healthier – We all know deep friend food really aren’t the heathy for us. If your looking for crispy, easy, tender, delicious you get that with the Avalon Bay AB-AIRFRYER200SS AirFryer.
  4. It’s very easy to clean – A perfect nonstick surface easy to just wipe up.
  5. Use in place of a Microwave

Both of these recipes are very easy and in expensive!  I used wonton and egg roll wrappers, which are very cheap found in the product section of all grocery stores!PF Changs Copycat Desserts - Banana Spring Rolls & Sweet Vanilla Cream Wontons

Banana Spring Rolls

These are super easy.  All you need is egg roll wrappers, bananas, and a mixtures of brown and white sugar.  PF Changs Copycat Desserts - Banana Spring Rolls & Sweet Vanilla Cream WontonsCut the banana in half, roll it in the sugar mixture and then roll it up in the wrapper. Wet the edges with water so it stays in place! Place in Air Fryer 350º for 5-8 mins, checking halfway through. Don’t keep it in too long or the banana will turn to mush!  Top with a yummy sauce,  I used a raspberry and vanilla syrup and add your favorite ice cream to the side.

These are my new favorite dessert! They are so fast and easy to make and taste so good!

All you need is 1 8oz. cream cheese, 1/2 c. powdered sugar, & 1 tsp vanilla.  Mix it all in a bowl and place a spoonful in the center. Wet the edges and fold it in a triangle or in a cute little shape by pulling all corners to the middle.  Place in fryer for 4-6 mins, checking every two minutes!PF Changs Copycat Desserts - Banana Spring Rolls & Sweet Vanilla Cream WontonsWatch that they don’t overcook or the cheese will pop out!  PF Changs Copycat Desserts - Banana Spring Rolls & Sweet Vanilla Cream Wontons

They turned out amazing. I added a Raspberry & Vanilla syrup to them also. The raspberry syrup is just frozen raspberries heated over the stove top with 1/4 cup water and a 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla. Blend in blender and serve!  My syrup recipe can be found HEREPF Changs Copycat Desserts Sweet Vanilla Cream Wontons using an Air FryerYou can most definitely deep fry both of these recipes, but why not try the healthier option.  Check out my video below on how to make these in no time!

I so want to have a bite of those wontons now! They look so good. I’ve never thought about a fryer before, I thought they might be too messy, but this seems easy to use.

We don’t deep fry very often but this would be a cute and compact way to make some treats. Great product review.

An air fryer? That is really cool. I love that it’s a healthier way to eat fried food. My hubs would love this!

I had no idea that making wontons could be so easy! I need one of those air fryers – love fried foods, just not all the grease.
