FREETOWN MOVIE & GIVEAWAY

August 6, 2015 by The Things I Love Most

A couple of months ago my husband and I had the privilege to go see this amazing movie in theaters called FREETOWN.  WOW!  Talk about amazing!  It is based on a true story and the events in the movie are truly miraculous! The movie is about 6 Liberian Mormon missionaries in Monrovia, Africa who were caught in the middle of a brutal civil war.

FREETOWN MOVIE

FREETOWN

These missionaries flee the widespread violence in their native country to reach their destination of Freetown, Sierra Leone. With the help of local church member Phillip Abubakar (Henry Adofo), the missionaries make the difficult journey, only to have their troubles compounded by a rebel fighter bent on killing one of their own. This movie is based on incredible true events. My husband and I walked away from this movie inspired and grateful that God and amazing at his power and how he has a hand in the lives on many. The movie is a little intense for kids, but not too brutal.  I probably would wait to show this to my kids until they were teenagers, but the message is wonderful.freetown DVD_entrapment

The movie was casted well, the actors were exceptional.  The scenery made me feel like we were right there in Sierra Leone.  This moving story shared incredible events that happened while these missionaries fled from the country.  It made me realize Gods hand is in everyones life. The miraculous things that happen on this journey are true.  FREETOWN is a thrilling and inspiring story of faith, hope and survival.

Here is a little clip about the movie…

Excel Entertainment just recently released FREETOWN DVD and they want to give 2 of my readers a free copy of the movie!  Enter below!  Giveaway will end August 20th.
