With back to school coming next week, for us at least, I have been having so much fun getting all my new curriculum and school supplies these last couple weeks.  One of my favorite school supplies is Post-it® Notes. I headed over to Walmart this week and got all the Post-it® Notes I would need to help get me though the school year. There are SO many ways to use Post-it® Notes it unbelievable.  I have seen a lot of creative educational games to play with them, a long with great ways to use them to stay organized!  I use them for writing daily tasks for my kids, letter practice, labeling maps, and marking where we are in books.  Post-It® Notes Organization Center and Creative Ways to Use ThemYou can use Post-it Notes for SO many things. They are a great deal right now.  I saw them for a $1 a pack at Walmart yesterday in the office/school supply section.  There are so many options and colors and sizes to pick from.  I love that they have such a variety.  Post-It® Notes at Walmart

Here are some other ways I use Post-it® Notes…

Writing Center– This last month I wanted to encourage my kids to start writing more so I found a cute basket, put pens, cards, envelopes, stamps and Post-it® notes in it so that the kids will write more. It’s been fun to see them grab something out of the basket and start writing a letter to a cousin or friend, or each other!

Questions to Be Answered – My kids always ask questions about different subject and sometimes, lots of times, I don’t know the answer.  I put this adorable lined Post-it® Note pad next to my computer for the kids to write their questions on. When I get a chance we can look up the answer and I don’t forget what they were question.  Post-It® Note 5Marking Spots in Books – I love to use Post-it® notes for bookmarks, especially for their spelling book.  The Post-it® Note labels come on and off really easily and are perfect because they have different colors which can be used for each child.

Writing Words on a Post-it they Don’t Know the Meaning of – Put a Post-it® note in front of a book you are reading aloud to them, or a book they are reading. When they hear a word they don’t understand write it down so you can look it up, or use it as a spelling word.

There are a lot of other wonderful things you can do with Post-it® notes when it comes to organizing your school, or just your life.

One thing I don’t like about Post-it® Notes is that lots of times when I need them, I can’t find them. They get scattered around the house in different school bins, desk drawers or pencil boxes.  This year I came up with the idea to make a Post-it® Note Organization Center.  A perfect place to keep all the Post-it® Notes. When you need one you just take it from the center and use it, then you don’t have a whole bunch of Post-it® Note pads floating around the house getting lost.

It was super easy to make.  All you need is an assortment of Post-it® Notes, Labels, Glue and a Clip Board.  I used an a Metal Storage Clipboard so that I could store pens and bigger paper in it also.  Post-It® Notes Organization Center and Creative Ways to Use Them 4All you have to do is decide on the position you want them to be in and then glue them in place!  Simple as that!!Post-It® Notes Organization Center and Creative Ways to Use Them 1I LOVE it.  It is my new favorite organizational thing. I can just leave this in my school closet every day, pull it out during school to write different notes on and the Post-it® Notes aren’t all over the house!!

I’ve shared how we’re using Post-it® Notes to get ready for Back-to-School! What project are you working on for Back-to-School?

I love these ideas! My boys always ask me questions I don’t know either so it would be great to have some Post It Notes readily available!
