Family Fun at Wet’n Wild Las Vegas $10 Off

Last week we took off on a Monday night and headed to Las Vegas.  I always hesitate taking  my family to Las Vegas because it can be a crazy place to be, but we found a great La Quinta in Summerlin and then spend all day Tuesday at Wet’n Wild Las Vegas. They had a beautiful city park right next to the water park where we ate lunch and got our suits on.  Then we headed to the park.  The first thing I loved about park was they had a huge station dedicated to sunscreen.  I didn’t have to use ANY of my own sunscreen!! It was awesome!

Wet'n Wild 1

After we lathered up we found some shade in the back area where there was a lot of grass. The trees are still little back there, but we had just enough shade for our family.  After that we split up and I took the little guys to “Cookoland”  That’s what my kids named the kid area. There are tons of slides and a little kid area of slides that go into a small pool.  There aren’t any wading pools, which my little boys really wanted, but it was still a lot of fun!  The big kids first slide was this huge slopped slide that about scared me to death seeing my tiny 7 year old go off of it, but he LOVED it.  The kids finally got me to go on a slide, but for the most part I lazied in the lazy river and played in the wave pool, when it wasn’t wavy with the little kids and ran around in cookoland with the little kids!  It was a really fun day for all!Wet'n Wild 2One tip,  Vegas is HOT, so wear flip-flops as you are walking around. We weren’t used to that so we kicked off our shoes by our towels and started running around barefoot….OUCH!  We about burned our feet.

Here is a little more about Wet’n Wild….

One of the world’s most iconic water park brands, Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas is Nevada’s premier water park and a top Las Vegas family destination with more than 25 slides and attractions for thrill seekers and families to create lasting memories. For the daring, the park features the new Tornado, the world’s leading funnel slide catapulting riders to a zero gravity experience; the extreme Rattler, a North American first, and Constrictor, featuring some of the tightest turns; and other fast, steep and twisting slides. For families and those desiring a more relaxing experience, there’s Paradise Falls, the interactive children’s area with kid friendly slides, a giant dumping bucket and warmer water; Colorado Cooler lazy river; and Red Rock Bay wave pool. Great amenities include shaded areas, private cabanas and misting.
