Good Tidings of Great Joy and a Giveaway

We have had the best weekend.  LaLa was in her first play…I think it is totally something she is going to keep doing and loving!  My parents were in town and it was so fun to have them here.  They have never come to visit in the Winter so no one ever gets to see my Christmas Decor, so I was excited for my mom to see how we decorate for Christmas!

Now onto todays post!  Have you seen this book?

It is fabulous!  It goes through each aspect of the story of Christs birth.  The section I liked best in the book was Chapter 5.   A whole chapter dedicated to teaching about Christmas from the Book Of Mormon. The Story of Christ birth is not just found in the Bible, it is also told through out the The Book of Mormon another Testament of Jesus Christ.

In the book it says…

“Latter-day Saints find important confirmation and explication of these vital truths in the Book of Mormon prophecies, which provide further “glad tiding of great joy”  As another testament of Jesus Christ, this volume of restoration scripture corroborates the fundamental details of the story of Jesus’ birth. But perhaps more importantly,  Book of Mormon passages provide expanded understanding of exactly who this promised Savior would be and help us realize that the “glad tidings” have more to do with what Jesus accomplished for us than they do about the understandable joy that surrounded his birth.”

That is exactly how I feel about the book of Mormon ” It gives us”expanded understanding” of exactly who Christ is and what he came to this earth to accomplish!
