They must have been strong women!

November 13, 2012 by The Things I Love Most

Our washing machine broke….so this is what we did….once.  It was horrible, my arms were so tired and I wanted to burn all of the clothes in the hamper….so I sent my husband to the laundromat until the washer was fixed.
I guess the pioneers didn’t have close to as many clothes as we do, but still they had to have been strong women!  This is one modern convenience I don’t want to live without again!

I know what you mean! We had been without power for two weeks (got it back on Sunday). We could plug the washer into a generator but not the dryer and it was too cold to hang the clothes to dry. I sent Matt to the laundromat but we couldn’t bring ourselves to spent $4.50 a load just to wash them (he didn’t bother looking at how much to dry).
