25 Days of Christ Ornament Countdown

November 12, 2012 by The Things I Love Most

I turned on Christmas music yesterday, and I have watched 2 Christmas movies already….Are we still friends?  I know it is early, but when the weather gets cold and it gets dark early I love the feeling that Christmas movies and music bring into our home.  Hopefully we can still be friends!!

As those that have been following me for a while already know I love 25 day countdowns for Christmas like we do here, here, here and here. Yeah we might be a little crazy with all that we do, but my kids love it and it brings the real spirit of Christmas into our home.

I wanted to share with you something I just got from Kati at 25 Days of Christ.  I was so excited to get this 25 days count down ornament set.

On their site it says….

Start a new tradition this year that puts Christ at the center of your Christmas celebrations. Gather your family each night in December to study the life and teachings of Jesus Christ as you countdown to Christmas. Children of all ages will love and remember these scripture stories as they place a symbolic ornament on your tree after each night’s reading. You will build lasting memories as you fill your home with the true meaning of Christmas. What better gift can you give your children and extended family this Christmas season?

Your kit includes:
  • Simple materials to assemble 25 ornaments that correspond with the daily readings
  • Instructions and examples for assembling your ornaments
  • The 25 Days of Christ book full of ideas and references for presenting each story from the life of Christ
  • A gift box for your family to open as you present each ornament
  • A sturdy box for storing completed ornaments, book, and gift box so you can enjoy this tradition for years to come

The sad thing is they are already sold out this season (2012), but they are collecting names and emails to be first in line next fall. Just send them an email at newtraditioncrafts@gmail.com and they will add them to the list.

I am excited to work on putting together these ornaments together at night and surprising my kids with them.  I am also going to purchase a small tree to put in the extra room where we can hang these special ornaments on.
