Forget the Twinkie, it’s the Zingers I’m sad about!

November 17, 2012 by The Things I Love Most

I remember as a kid my mom would take us to the Day Old Bread Store every so often and we would get to pick out a box of yummy treats.  I was always one for the chocolate treats, like Zingers and Ding Dongs…oh and the pies!  Not so much a fan of the Twinkies.  When I saw someone eating a Twinkie as a hot dog bun on the news today I about puked right there.  That is disgusting.  I know they really are not good for you, but my kids thought I was the best soccer mom ever when I would bring those as the after game snack!  And Wonder Bread….ohhh yummy!! Anyway, sad to see this company with 18,000+ employees close it’s doors.  A strike by the union representing the bakers at Hostess could not be resolved, forcing the snack maker to announce it would go out of business.
What do you think will happen.  Will they really never make Hostess products again?

Oh, I know! Sadness…I just had Zingers for the first time last week and LOVED them! I’m sad there will be no more.
