One of my goals for this year is…
Are you excited to hear about what old skill I will pull out of my box of hidden talents. I thought long and hard about this and decided I would take up clogging again!! See, look how good I used to look in my old clogging costume. I figured after 3 babies and this pregnancy this would be just the thing!! I would look HOT in these clothes!!
Okay, not really. It was time to be done with clogging a long time ago and I don’t feel guilty for hiding that talent. Although it really was fun, and I did get to wear hot looking costumes like these ;)!!
Okay jokes over, on with my decision process…
I kept trying to think of things I wanted to improve on, what skill I haven’t worked on in a long time. Basketball, Piano, Violin, Creative Dance (haha), Soccer, Singing, Cooking {oh wait I am always working on this!}. Then I thought more about my nun chuck skills, or bow hunting skills 😉 and finally, with the help of my husband, decided on this…
Yup, this was my Christmas present this year { it’s kind of a mix between these two, but this design in a reddish brown color}. I was very excited and surprised. I had talked to my husband about wanting to start up again with the guitar, but I didn’t have one and I knew I probably wouldn’t have time to take lessons. In college I taught myself and then took a class. My mom had a guitar, but when I got married I basically stopped playing it. So here is to my new/old talent being pulled from the depths of my hidden talents and being dusted off to start anew!! I am excited, and anxious! I was so excited to pull it out on Christmas morning and sing “When You Say Nothing At All” and have already taught myself most of the new Taylor Swift song “Never Grow Up”. Yeah! Along with playing the guitar every day I will also practice one primary song a day on the piano to keep up my note reading skills. There is a lot online and a bunch of books that can teach me, and who knows, maybe one day I might find time to take a lesson or two! Wish me luck!!
As for something I am grateful for that I learned in the last year. That is to be more grateful for the time I have with my kids. I have such great kids who teach me so much everyday. I sure love them and am grateful to be their mommy and their teacher!

You were so stinking good at clogging! I remember! I have been thinking about brushing up on my French this year.
