In my last post I told about the 40 goals that I am working on by my 40th birthday. I have until March 31, 2022 and I need to get moving on these goals!
I finally accomplished my first goal in April by planting a garden! I used to live out in the country and had a lot of land. When we moved to this house I was bummed because I didn’t have a place to plant a garden. Concrete Backyard with tiny strip of grass isn’t the greatest gardening spot. I thought about boxes and all sorts of stuff, but I haven’t even gotten to making them. One of my goals was the plant a garden no matter what, but at the end of April we found out we were moving in July. I was trying to figure out what to do and how I could plant a garden and move it.
I found these rolling planter boxes at Home Depot and my boys and I planted a very small salsa garden. I can’t say it is doing very awesome. We have Green Onion and some cilantro and some tomatoes coming in, but I might need to go buy some plants instead of waiting for seeds. It is SOOO hot here where we live and the plants are dying, but we are excited for what ever comes out of our cute little garden boxes!
So if you think you don’t have room for a garden, think again. There is always room for a garden!! I have a friend that only has rocks in her backyard and she made some garden boxes out of pallets. Here are a few ideas I found online…
