When I was little I always thought it would be cool to write my own book when I grew up. I remember writing and illustrating a book in the 5th grade and thought I was so cool. It wasn’t ever published but we made a cool book cover and I showed everyone my book! I don’t tell the greatest stories anymore, but my husband and daughter are both amazing story tellers! I always tell them they should write a book! The other day when I heard about this book The Legend of the Tooth Ninja by Stephanie Ream I was so excited to read it. I think it is awesome when a mom takes chances to fulfill a dream.
Did you know that the Tooth Fairy isn’t the only one that collects children’s lost teeth? There’s a Tooth Ninja as well! At least that’s the story Stephanie Ream tells. This adorable story is filled with Ninjas, a dragon, weapons, and the Tooth Fairy. The story ties in the Tooth Fairy as well as incorporates the creative use of his tools such as a paper clip and a rubber band. Which is totally up my boys alley!
My boys are WAY more into Ninja’s the Fairys and they loved this story! The illustrations are beautiful and the story is adorable! The story is tied in beautifully with the fantastic vision of illustrator Yoko Matsuoka. As a native from Japan she was able to give the story an authentic feel from the trees to the clothes. Her creativity and talent brings this story to life and makes it a sought after story in my household. My little boys are into rhyming words right now and they absolutely loved the flow of this story. It keeps the kids attention and isn’t boring at all!
The sad thing about this adorable story is that it’s not out on shelves yet. But you can help. Stephanie started a Kickstarter last week to help get this adorable book published!
How can you help The Tooth Ninja?
Simple answer: They need to get the word out about their Kickstarter!
Their goal is to not only get THE TOOTH NINJA published as a hardbound book, but to get his story out there to be handed down to future generations of teeth losers.
They will also have digital editions for the Kindle and iPad, for those who are tech concious. To support The Tooth Ninja, Click Here:Kickstarter
