St. Patrick’s Day Jello Sundae

March 13, 2015 by The Things I Love Most

I’m excited to have Sydney here form Tastefully Frugal guest blogging for me today while I celebrate my sons birthday and our wedding anniversary!  I love Jello and am excited to try this recipe asap! I met Sydney at the Build Your Blog Conference in Salt Lake city and she was so sweet and genuine!  She has a great blog so after you read this post head over to see some other fun things she has been posting about lately!St. Patrick's Day Jello Sundae - Tastefully Frugal | The Things I Love Most

If you’re looking for a quick and easy green treat that everyone will love this St. Patrick’s Day look no further!  With St. Patrick’s Day coming up next Tuesday we are in full swing green mode. Green happens to be my youngest’s favorite color so he is loving all the green treats and decorations we are making. Because I have two boys both under the age of 3 I have to take in to consideration time and how much attention a recipe needs when I’m preparing treats because it’s inevitable that someone is going to get hit, or have to go potty, or decide that they need something right. this. second. Back in February we made these Ombre Sweet Treats for Valentine’s Day and my whole family loved them! Plus it took me less than 10 minutes to make them (not including the time it took to let the Jello set up).

Since they were such a hit and so easy to make I decided to make them again for St. Patrick’s Day. This time I added sprinkles to the top and my boys loved them even more! With only 3 ingredients (4 if you include the sprinkles) this recipe is super easy to make and is easy on the pocket book too. So if you have a few minutes grab these ingredients and create a fun dessert to celebrate the Luck of the Irish.

St. Patrick’s Day Jello Sundae

Ingredients:

2 (3 oz) boxes of Lime Jello

1 tub of Cool Whip

1 cup greek yogurt

green sprinkles (optional)

Directions:

Open one box of Jello and prepare according to package details.

Pour jello evenly in 4 cups.

Let set in fridge for at least 3 hours to set up. I let mine sit over night.

Open 2nd box of Jello and cook according to package details. (While you are having the water boil, get Cool Whip out of the freezer and let it start to thaw).

Once you’ve added the cold water to the Jello mix, stir in Cool Whip and mix until completely dissolved (about 3 minutes).

Pour Jello-Cool Whip mix on top of set up Jello in cups.

Let set in the fridge for 3 more hours.

Spoon 1/4 cup of greek yogurt on top of each Jello mix.

Top with sprinkles and enjoy!
