I LOVE the 4th of July, but I know I definitely overate unhealthy food the whole weekend. It is SO hard for me not to when I am not home. I went to a big party at my sisters and there were a TON of treats. I totally over ate! I am now home and need to get back on track! But while we are talking about naughty treats, I want to share with you a good recipe that we made for my brothers wedding dinner. If you have ever been to Magelby’s you have eaten their amazing rolls. They are DIVINE!! There are a few ways to cook theses, but the KEY ingredient is Fresh Parmesan and Parsley, Some people add Mayo, or Garlic {which would make them even better I am sure}. My grandma wanted to make them this way. We had to make 145 Mock Magelby’s rolls for the wedding dinner. Here is the recipe.
Mock Magleby’s Rolls
Frozen roll dough (I use Terrell’s Rolls in freezer section)
1 Stick Butter Melted
1 package of Parmesan
1 tsp Paprika
2 Tablespoons Dried Parsley
Partially thaw dough. {You can Microwave them for about 1 min} Melt butter in a small bowl. Mix Parmesan, parsley and Paprika in another bowl. Roll dough in butter, then in cheese mixture. Place on greased cookie sheet and allow to raise the rest of the way. Bake at 350 for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
This one looks a little funky and doesn’t have very much cheese on it, but they are SO good!
