Why we LOVE the New LeapStart

August 2, 2016 by The Things I Love Most

LeapFrog does it again by helping young children learn in a fun way by using fun and creative devices that are simple and easy to use!  I say it every time I do a review for Leapfrog and I mean it every time, I am always so amazed at the new products that they introduce every year.  They recently came out with the LeapStart Learning System for PreK – 1st Grade kids.

This fun new LeapStart is kind of a mix between the old school LeapPads and the Leap Reader. It is very easy for little kids to use. They aren’t looking at a screen, which I really like, and they hold a big stylus and are looking at very cute colorful books.  The purpose of the LeapStart is to help children’s critical skills. With a library of books across 4 different learning levels, children can grow and progress. Why we LOVE the New LeapStart

There are two different LeapStart platforms. One used for ages 2-4 and the other for ages 5-7. There are 4 levels of 4 books for each level and the books can be used on both platforms. We received the Kindergarten level books and my kids are loving them.
Why we LOVE the New LeapStart
My little 3 and 5 year old are loving their LeapStart!  It’s fun because of all the different things it is teaching them. The different books are great.  Each page of each book has an activity that teaches them different skills.  We received Set 3 from LeapStart which includes books about phonics, addition, subtraction, global awareness as well as animals, conservation, logic and reasoning.

This system is very easy to set up and uses 2 AA batteries, which is nice, but I would love if you could also plug the system in.  I would recommend using rechargeable batteries so that they last longer!

I would for sure recommend this system to anyone with children between the ages of 2-7.  I received this system in exchange for my review, but my opinion is 100% my own.
