Homemade Salad Dressing {Ranch Style}

May 26, 2015 by The Things I Love Most

I don’t buy salad dressing at all anymore. It doesn’t taste as good to me since I have started making my Homemade Salad Dressing from scratch.  Even my kids have noticed a difference and get grumpy when I don’t make it and we are having a salad.  It takes like 3 minutes to make so unless I don’t have the ingredients there really is no excuse not to make it! I love that it is homemade and tastes amazing!Homemade Salad Dressing that Tastes AMAZING!! | thethingsilovemost.com

Making it from scratch and using healthy ingredients makes me feel so much better giving it to my family.  The base is yogurt and mayo or vegenaise.  I like it with mayo better, but my mom makes it with vegenaise and  it taste really good also.  We also love using fresh garlic, but powdered does just fine also.

The recipe is super simple and easy to make.  I just throw it all in  blender and mix it all together and then pour it in a quart jar!

Homemade Salad Dressing (Ranch Style)

  • 1 Cup Plain Yogurt
  • 1 Cup Real Mayo or Vegenaise.
  • 2-3 T Garlic (depends on how Garlicy you want it)
  • 2 T Italian Seasoning
  • 2 t Salt
  • 1 t Pepper
Mix together and store in container.  We like to use jars.  We seriously don’t measure anymore when we make this and just add more of what it needs as we taste it.  It is so good on salad, cold slaw and as a dip!

If you make it come back and let me know what you think!  I can almost promise you that once you make it you won’t go back to the store bought stuff!
