Playful Planet’s Storyland Yoga and Condor Trek {Giveaway}

February 6, 2015 by The Things I Love Most

81NDBcJLmYL._SL1500_I have never been a big fan of Yoga.  I know, that’s a weird way to start out a post all about Yoga, but honestly, I thought I didn’t have the patience for it.  Lately, in my old age of 32, 🙂 I have really learned to like it. I make one of my exercise days a week consist of YOGA.  I have realized my body needs it, and it feels great!  I am still not very patient to hold positions for a long time, but I have come to appreciate what it does for my body!  A couple years ago Playful Planet approached me about their new product, Storyland Yoga DVD.  They sent it to my kids and the kids LOVED it!   They just recently came out with this adorable yoga poses storybook, Condor Trek Kids, that goes a long with the DVD, but can be used on it’s own.  This book is adorable. It is about some kids that find an egg and have to get it to the top of the mountain. They act out all sorts of animal poses to get the egg to the Condor at the top of the Mountain. When I first got the book I had all my kids try it out and they really liked it. Then I took it to my homeschool co-op where I teach the 3-5 year old kids and I read it to them there and they absolutely loved it.  It is very unique in the way it presents the poses.  The kids didn’t even realize they were doing yoga, they just thought they were acting like animals!  It was adorable. I wish I had taken a picture of the classroom of 15 kids doing it!PP-Web-STORE-Book-1-300x200

Winner of 4 national Awards, Storyland Yoga is a fun-filled adventure that teaches kids yoga poses along with an eco-conscious message. In “Save the Whale” and “Condor Trek” kids engage in a story where they learn yoga poses by imitating animals. Now Storyland Yoga is also available for download or rental via Amazon Instant Video! Download it today! You can purchase each of these item separate or in a kit with the book and the DVD, or all that with an added Yoga Mat and bag!

    One thing I like to do is have a dance time. In the winter you have to get creative.
