The Latter-Day Learning Family School Homeschool Conference

April 23, 2014 by The Things I Love Most

It’s that time again!  Last year I was able to attend this wonderful conference and am very excited to participate again! The conference is on May 9th and 10th and the American Heritage School in American Fork Utah.   The Family School has been a HUGE blessing in my life.  I love every lesson, every day, and I am excited to go to a conference where I can glean more from others and their homeschool experiences.  I wrote about my experience going last here on the blog.

The conference is divided up into two days. The first day is free!  Yeah!  It’s a Family Fun day that starts at Two and goes until around Six.  They have a 5k/1mile race, field games, bounce houses, rock wall and more!  They also have a dinner you can purchase if you choose to for $3.50 a person.  This year with each registration you get a free ticket to a concert featuring the American Heritage School Lyceum Youth Orchestra and also Planets and Starts Align Featuring William Joseph that will be at the Waterfall Amphitheater at Thanksgiving Point.   Which is gorgeous by the way!  The second day is full of classes for adults and also children ages 12-18. That night there is a family dance from 7:30 to 10:00 that evening! It really should be a great conference.

You do not have to do The Family School curriculum in order to go to this conference.  There are going to be some great classes just on homeschooling in general.  If you are interested in The Family School curriculum and would like to know more about it, this would be a great place to start.  And I hear you can get  great discount on the curriculum that weekend.  My aunt and mom are actually going to be teaching a class call “How to Homeschool The Family School Way” which should be awesome since both of them have been homeschooling for over 30 years!  There are also youth classes for ages 12-18.  Go check out there website to read all about it!

It should be a great conference.  Let me know if you are going, I would LOVE to meet you!
