Swig Sugar Cookies – My Favorite Cookie Recipe Ever

January 28, 2014 by The Things I Love Most

About a year ago I had heard about a place in town called Swig.  It’s a drink shack where they serve all kinds of soda with shots of flavor in it.  The two that I have heard that people like the most are the Dirty (coconut flavored) Dr. Pepper, and the Mango Mountain Dew.  I am not a big soda drinker so I would always go there to get their Avalanches (I am going to have to make my own knockoff avalanche and tell you what they are because they are amazing!  Anyway, people started talking about their sugar cookies, so one day when I went to get an avalanche I decided to also get a cookie!  You know, like I needed more calories or something!  I was not disappointed in the cookies.  They were/are divine, but they also cost $1.50 each.  I was excited when Mandy from Vintage Revivals, a local southern utahan and amazing DIY blogger, posted a knockoff Swig Sugar Cookie recipe.  Thank you Mandy!  I made them for my friends baby shower a few weeks ago and they were a hit, I took the rest to my Young Women’s class on Sunday and they told me I was their favorite leader!  YES!!  I was hoping to be the favorite!  LOL

I love sugar cookies, but I haven’t ever found the perfect recipe that makes them not too hard, but not too soft.  This one wins it for me!  It is really easy to make and tastes excellent!  I can’t share the recipe with you because that would be stealing, so head on over here to get the recipe and let me know how you like them!!

Oh yummy, I’ve heard of this place and the next time we drive through, I’m going to stop by there. I’ve seen this recipe and I’ve pinned it before but haven’t made them them yet. They look so good!

I wonder how these would do stacked up against Jeanine’s Grandmas recipe? Let’s have a bake-off next time your up! That way we can eat lots and lots of yummy sugar cookies!
