A few months back I reviewed the book, Girls who chose God, stories of Strong Woman from the Bible. Recently these ladies came out with a new version called Girls Who Choose God, Stories of Strong Women from the Book of Mormon!
When I first saw the title I was a bit surprised because in the Book of Mormon there are not a lot of names of women mentioned. But the women that are in the Book of Mormon are very strong and Noble women. One of my favorite book a Mormon female figures is Lehi’s wife Sariah. I can’t imagine being told by my husband that we needed to get out of our home and move to the wilderness and build a boat and go across the ocean. She had so much faith and courage.
This book is filled with sweet stories and great lessons and thoughts. At the end of each section that talks about each woman and the choices that they could have made, it also asks a questions for us to think about that relates to each person! The stories are amazing and I am very grateful that this book came out to help me and my children better understand the female figures in the Scriptures.
Here is a brief description of the book…
