Oh Sweets!! I sure do love them but I need to stop eating them all the time. I am really trying hard to limit myself to one treat out a week and one homemade treat a week. I’m not perfect at it, but I really am trying. I feel way more motivated during the week to eat healthy if I know I am going to make a delicious treat once a week, and go out for a treat once a week. Two treats a week that I know are going to be delicious, I think I can do it! My husband is the greatest connoisseur of Twix bars! He absolutely loves them and even has a special way to eat them. A few weeks ago a friend of mine that was coming over to my house challenged me to make a giant homemade twix. I looked at a few receipts and came up with a variation of my own from those recipes. I call it my Giant Homemade 3 Ingredient Twix BarsIf you know me you know my favorite cookies are Lorna Doone shortbread cookies. They are a delicious shortbread cookies that taste amazing, especially after having a baby in the hospital. When my son was a baby and had RSV I was in the hospital for a week with him. I ate like 3 packs of those cookies a day. Let’s not do the math, because that is a LOT of cookies if you add it up. It’s ok though because who’s counting anyway!?! I also love chocolate and caramel, so I took those three ingredients and decided to take on the challenge and make a gigantic homemade Twix bar!
Today I am sharing this delicious recipe over at my new blog that I just started with my sisters and my mama called The Mama Birds. I am so excited to be blogging with these amazing ladies!
