Frostys For Families – The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption

October 9, 2014 by The Things I Love Most

Wendy’s + Frostys = A Happy Me!

I grew up on Wendy’s Frostys!  Oh how I love them!  Don’t Judge, you know you feel the same way!!  Now that you can get them in Chocolate and Vanilla I love them even more!  I grew up about 2 blocks away from a Wendy’s!  I remember my friends and I would get one of our parents to take us over and we would always get kids meals!  We would trade in our toys and dip our fries in our frostys!  It’s good, try it!  I have tons of fun memories with family and friends at Wendy’s.  I remember once getting the biggest size.  I had saved my pennies (I really would pay with ALL change…poor cashiers!) and was so excited to get that huge frosty and some fries and eat it with my friends!   Oh the days when eating too much ice cream did nothing to my tiny little tweenager body!

Did you know that you can do a great service and get frostys at the same time!! All you have to do is Visit your local Wendy’s® to purchase a Jr. Frosty™ Halloween Coupon Book* for $1, which benefits the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption®!

For 22 years, Wendy’s® has supported foster care adoption. In 1990, Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy’s®, accepted President George H.W. Bush’s invitation to be the spokesperson for a national adoption awareness campaign. Just two years later, Dave established The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption® as a non-profit public charity with one primary goal: to help every child in foster care find a loving, permanent family.  This is a great cause.  It is so wonderful to see children in the foster care system find permanent homes!  My husband used to work for a foster care company and helped children be placed into homes.  It was a wonderful thing!

Ninety cents of every $1 Halloween Coupon Book sold between September 13 – October 31, 2014 will benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption®. Coupons are valid for use: November 1, 2014 through February 1, 2015. The Coupon book may contain coupons for 5 or 10 free Jr. Frosty™ treats. Prices and participation may vary.

We have bought these coupons in the past.  They make for a great bribe for your kids to be good somewhere or if you all just need a treat.  They also would be great to handout for Halloween!  You could buy 10 and get 50-100 free coupons for only $10.

This year, Wendy’s® aims to give $10 million to The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption® so head over to Wendy’s and help them out! {Plus their Pretzels Burgers are back and they are amazing!}

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
