A Heart Revealed by Josi Kilpack {Book Review}

April 9, 2015 by The Things I Love Most

I absolutely love a regency romance! I get so excited when I hear about a new book in the proper romance series produced by Shadow Mountain!  I have loved every one of them, and this one, A Heart Revealed by Josi Kilpack was no different.  I love a good clean romance novel that is a quick fun read!

A Heart Revealed by Josi Killpack

This was another one of those books I just couldn’t put down. It only took me a couple of days to read because it was that good! The book is about a girl named Amber Sterlington who is in a higher class family in England. It starts as she is beginning her season in London with her mother and her sister. It goes back and forth between Amber, and another man named Thomas. Thomas is also in London searching to find a wife to bring home to the country. At first sight he is very impressed with Amber, but after getting to know her a little he  realizes she is very snooty and only has interest in a husband that will provide money and position. Something happens to Amber to cause her to have to leave London and go live in Yorkshire. She must live with only her maid who sticks with her despite her trial and struggles. Amber must learn what it is like to be in a lower class status and deal with some hard issues that she is going through. She has to learn to trust others and to find peace with her new life and finally to find love! What happened in this book totally caught me off guard. Not something that I would expect to happen in a book like this, but I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Product Description

Amber Marie Sterlington, the Rage of the Season in Regency-era London, has her pick of men, and she knows what she wants most in a husband: a title and a fortune. Why would she ever marry for something as fickle as love? And why would she ever look twice at Thomas Richards, a third son of a country lord?

But when Amber’s social standing is threatened, the character of her future husband becomes far more important than his position. After a public humiliation, she find herself exiled to Yorkshire. alone except for her maid, Amber is faced with a future she never expected in a circumstance far below what she has known all her life. Humbled and lonely, Amber begins to wonder if isolation is for the best. Who could ever love her now?
