  1. Book Through Get Away Today

The first tip is to book through Get Away Today. Not only do we have discounted prices all year round but our customer service is exceptional. Our agents are travel experts and will be sure to find you the best deals and answer any questions you may have about your vacation. 1. Travel Off-season

The most common question we get asked is when is the best time to travel? This really depends on what you are looking for in a vacation, but if you are looking for the best price then traveling off-season will be your best bet! Common off-season months to travel include January, February, May, September, early November or anytime most people are in school.

  1. Create a Budget

Making a budget is key when you want to travel for less. This helps to get a better idea of how much things will cost, what your money will be going towards and where you can save. Determine your travel budget amount and be sure to stick with it. Then, write a list of your vacation details and evaluate what will cost more money and what could cost less with more planning and a little flexibility.

  1. Souvenir Savings

When making a budget you’ll want to consider souvenirs. A pro-tip to save in this area is buying or making them beforehand. For example, if you are going to Disneyland you could make t-shirts at home and wear them to the park. If you’re staying in Hawaii you could pick up a souvenir, such as a towel, water bottle, or keychain at a local grocery store since souvenirs tend to be a little pricier at gift shops.

  1. Be Prepared

Also when creating a budget, include a miscellaneous category for any unplanned opportunities or emergencies that may come up. Bring a first-aid kit, medications, toiletries and any other useful items you have lying around the house as well. This will not only save you money but a trip to the store too.

Now that you know five ways to travel for less, what are you waiting for? Book now at Get Away Today or call our agents at 855-GET-AWAY. Don’t forget to use promo code TTILM to get an additional $10 off your Southern California vacation package and let them know that The Things I Love Most sent you!
