Rent Great Stuff through RentalOnMe.com

April 27, 2015 by The Things I Love Most

I received compensation in exchange for this review. All opinions are 100% my own.

Have you ever wanted to go do something but you didn’t have the right equipment or the funds to buy it?  There has been a lot of times when my kids have asked my husband to take them fishing, skiing or boating and we can’t go because we don’t have the items. Also, since it’s not something we do a lot it seems pointless to purchase all the equipment before we even know if we like it.  I’m excited to tell you about this new company that just launched in Utah, but is now capable of working anywhere in the U.S. It is called RentalOnMe.com.  Rental On Me is a online commuinty where you can rent all sorts of great things for a great price.  It’s free and super easy to use.   RentalOnMe.com

A few years ago when I was doing triathlons I would have LOVED if this was around.  I only had a mountain bike, but wanted a road bike for my race.  I searched everywhere for someone that might be willing to let me borrow their road bike, I was even willing to pay, but I couldn’t find one and I ended up using my mountain bike, which was a killer on the hills.  I love this idea of Safe, Secure, and Easy Rentals through Rental On Me!

Rental ON Me

This peer-to-peer online community gives users the opportunity to rent things they don’t own but want to try out, and it also gives users the opportunity for users to make money by sharing items in their community.  They rent all sorts of items from outdoor sporting goods, prom dress, GoPro’s, bikes, to college textbooks and more. You can also earn money by listing services you provide: whether that’s being the best handyman in town, or teaching piano lessons, or maybe you are a photographer or a cake decorator!

Rental ON Me

Not only is Rental On Me a great way to rent things that you might not want to purchase, but it also is a great way to earn money.  Do you have stuff you don’t use very often? Do you want to earn a little extra money renting out stuff you might not use everyday?  Rental On Me is a great way to make money by sharing your items, goods, and services to others in your community. I also thought that another benefit of it is that if you are traveling and don’t want to bring all your gear with you, you could connect with someone from that area to rent their gear while you are there. This would be really nice for hiking, fishing or camping trips!

You might be wondering what happens if you damage an item, or if the item you rent out becomes damaged?  The great thing about RentalOnMe.com is they provide protection for your item though an automatically generated contract.

Rental ON Me

So here is a quick run through of RentalOnMe.com works…

  • RentalOnMe.com connects users by letting them search locally for the items they would like to experience, but no necessarily own, store, and maintain.
  • RentalOnMe.com provides protection in case of damage, theft, or loss. We can do this because of our automatically generated contracts.
  • RentalOnMe.com allows you to make requests in your neighborhood. Ask for something to rent, and you’ll be surprised at how fast someone gets back to you.
  • RentalOnMe.com has launched in Utah, and is now capable of working anywhere in the U.S. It’s free to list your items, and we charge only a 3% processing fee to owners to cover the costs of the transactions.

You can also watch this great video where they explain it even better…

All you have to do to be a part of this great community is sign up HERE to get started! I’m excited about this website.  I saw it a few days ago and they had some great stuff to rent on it in the Northern Utah area, and it has even grown since then.

What is something you would love to rent from someone?

This is such an awesome idea! I would love to rent out some of our baby stuff that we aren’t using at the moment.

My kiddos want to try fishing, but I didn’t want to buy the gear, so this is a great idea. We can try it out and see if they actually like it before investing in poles.
