How Do I Know If I Know by John Bytheway

October 17, 2014 by The Things I Love Most

I had to share with you another book I am reading!  Sorry for the book overload lately, but when I go to bed the only way I can shut my brain of is by reading!  The last few books I have read have been great! I haven’t quiet finished this one, but I loved it from the start!

The book How Do I Know If I Know?by John Bytheway which, by the way,(haha) is a great read.  It is thought provoking, motivating, and fun.  It really helps me to think about my testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Growing up I always believed the church was true, I still do, but as I have grown and have had experiences that have strengthened me I know with all my heart that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true.  This book is a great book for anyone that wants to learn how to strengthen their own testimony.  It is a great read for someone that is preparing to serve a mission, or might be questioning their own testimony and if theirs is strong enough!  Sometimes we don’t realize how strong our testimony is until we actually think about it!

Here is the product Description from Deseret book…

Product Description

It’s spiritual gut-check time! The mission age has been lowered, and now more than ever, young people are asking themselves important questions:

  • How do I know if I really have a testimony?
  • Am I ready to serve a mission?
  • What does the Spirit feel like?

John Bytheway suggests that we “F.E.E.L.” the truthfulness of the gospel through our feelings, our experiences, the many evidences we encounter, and our logical conclusions about how a loving God interacts with His children on the earth. Like gradually turning up a dimmer switch, understanding all the ways we F.E.E.L. our testimony will help it grow brighter. As you read, you may discover that your testimony is stronger than you thought, and you’ll also become more excited and motivated to let your light shine!

Thanks Kendra for this one; I am going to share it. I have a son in law that needs to read this book and it will be on my list of books to read too.
    Blessings for this review.
