Create Your Own Moem and MetLife will Donate $10 to Dress For Success

I am excited to share wit you this really awesome thing that MetLife is doing in honor of Mother’s Day. MetLife wants to help honor moms with a charitable donation. Sound awesome huh?  I am sure you are asking how they are doing this!  The answer…With a #Moem.
I knew your next questions would be “What’s a #Moem?”  I thought. the same thing!  A “#Moem” is a is a MOM POEM!  A tribute poem written and posted on social channels, preferably rhyming, in 135 characters or less.
Some Examples might be: 

-Of all the special joys in life, the big ones and the small. Spending today
with my Mom, is the greatest of them all. #moem 

“I forget around this time, almost every year, I owe it to her to say thank you, to my beautiful Mother dear. #moem”

What if you’re not very poetic? Don’t worry they can help you out.  Check out our Moem Maker  at www.moemmaker.com for a little help to get you started. Then post a tribute to your Mom on social media with the hashtag #moem for the world to see.

I am sure you are wondering why you would do that adn what purpose does it serve? Every #moem written to honor your Mom for Mother’s Day will also help raise funds for Mothers in need through a charity called Dress for Success Worldwide www.dressforsuccess.org. They’re an organization that helps low-income women achieve economic independence for themselves and their families through supporting their search for professional employment. For every #moem posted, MetLife will donate $10 toward Dress for Success’ goal of $50,000. (Note: While you can make Moems after Mother’s Day the donation ends at Midnight on Mother’s day)
Isn’t that awesome.  What a great cause.  Guess how else you can help?  Tell your friends! Activate your social following to write and post #moems – not only to pay tribute to their own moms, but also to help make a difference in other moms’ lives as well.
