How to Enjoy Your Summer – Summer Fun

May 26, 2012 by The Things I Love Most

Okay so after you get your kids on a good schedule, you have got to do fun stuff with them!!  It’s not always going to be easy If sometimes you don’t get to school don’t fret.  This week we had some play dates and other stuff that came up  so we only did Summer School stuff 3 out of the 5 days.  And that’s OK!  Kids need a lot of play.  They need to be outside, running around, enjoying their summer.  {but don’t let them get out of their daily chores 🙂

This is something I came up with last year.  I used to have this big huge post board full of activities and such and it got kind of annoying. So this year I cam up with this.  And every Sunday we will it out together as a family.

We did all these activities this week and had a lot of fun.  The kids really enjoy looking on the chart for the day and knowing that when it gets hot we will get to do our Summer Fun activity.

Summer can be really overwhelming for parents. They put their kids in to many things and drive them here and there, they go on vacation, and then it is over. I have my kids in a couple things this summer. They are doing Farm Camp next week, they might be doing swim lessons, and then just their regular lessons that they take during the school year. I am also putting my two oldest in a track club!

Here are some posts about fun things do to in the summer with your kids and as a whole family.
