“Gifts of Joy” Two Great Ways to Serve Others

December 20, 2016 by The Things I Love Most

This post, “Gifts of Joy” Two Great Ways to Serve Others, was sponsored by Johnson & Johnson as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

During the holidays I have noticed many families trying to focus on giving and serving.  It’s been wonderful to see so many people wanting to bless the lives of others. People donate food, go to homeless shelters, and volunteer their time to those in need. We all try to find a different charitable ways to serve weather big or small. Last week our family had a fun opportunity, we helped our local Coins for Kids. It was a great opportunity for my family too serve others in our community. One night we went and shopped for a family with the money that was earned from donation boxes in the community.  The next day we went and wrapped the presents for the families. There were over 300+ families, it was amazing seeing all the people sharing the Thursday morning to wrap gifts for people we don’t even know. Friday my husband and two sons dressed up in a Santa suit and elf costumes and delivered the presents to a few of the families in our community that are in need. On Christmas Eve we love to go to a Rest home and visit the elderly.  Sometimes it’s hard to find different ways to give throughout the holiday season, but there are SO many ways you just have to look around! "Gifts of Joy" Two Great Ways to Serve Anytime

Today I am excited to share two great ways that you can give back and serve during the holiday season and throughout the year and they are super simple and easy, you don’t even have to leave your house if you don’t want to!

The first one is called the Donate a Photo app. The Donate a Photo app is a way to give back to those in need. Each of us can raise funds and awareness for a cause we care about through simply sharing a photo. It really is as easy as that.  For every photo you donate, Johnson & Johnson will donate a $1 to trusted, non-profit partners, chosen by the you. You can donate a photo a days for as long as you this campaign goes! You can easily share the photo through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to help spread the word and help others donate, or you can just share it with the app. You can learn more about Donate a Photo on their website here, but it’s super easy.  I dontated my first photo yesterday!  15542049_10211684745695551_3023497915978505130_n

I did wonder what the photos were for. They just go onto the app where you share them. Users retain the rights to their photos but Johnson & Johnson also retains the rights to use the photos to promote the donate a photo app. Partners photos will never be used to promote or sell products of any kind. "Gifts of Joy" Two Great Ways to Serve Anytime

It super simple, just download the app, pick a cause you want to help with and click a picture! You can choose to share it, which is a wonderful way to share with others about this great cause!   It’s super simple and easy and a great way to help people out when you might not have the money to help them out yourself!"Gifts of Joy" Two Great Ways to Serve Anytime

The second way to serve is also really cool, it’s called the Save the Children “Gifts of Joy” Holiday Catalogue.  The Save the Children “Gifts of Joy” holiday catalog is an online catalog where you can donate gifts to families in need all over the world. You can pick from many different areas such as donating animals to families in need, helping educate children to college students.  There are also health and emergency relief causes such as newborn care packages and antibiotics to different areas in the world.

There are so many different gifts that you can give, and right now Johnson & Johnson will match each donation. Johnson & Johnson havs been a longtime partner of Save the Children. They have offered many of their products to help support hygiene and health for families all over the world. Especially newborn and maternal health needs. Check out the Catalogue here and Donate! We decided to donoate an animal to a family in need as a gift to my dad and his wife who have all they need!

"Gifts of Joy" Two Great Ways to Serve Anytime

If you are looking for a great way to donate globally this year, the Johnson & Johnson Donate a Photo app and the Save the Children “Gifts of Joy” Gift Catalogue are two wonderful ways serve those in need throughout the world.  I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and find a way to serve those around you and even those that live far from you!

Johnson & Johnson has curated a list of trusted causes, and you can donate a photo to one cause, once a day. Each cause will appear in the app until it reaches its goal, or the donation period ends. If the goal isn’t reached, the cause will still get a minimum donation.
