Not Your Typical Mashed Potato Dishes for Thanksgiving

November 16, 2015 by The Things I Love Most

Thanksgiving is coming up really soon and I am pretty excited! We are traveling this year to be with family and I can’t wait.  One of my most favorite traditions surrounding Thanksgiving is going to my grandma’s house on Thanksgiving morning and spending the morning cooking in her kitchen with her.  She is legally blind, but still a great cook.  We have so much fun together! I like to tease her that she put the wrong amount in stuff, but she just laughs!  We also like to pretend we have our own cooking show.  Last year we named it Kenma’s Kitchen!  With how silly we are, one day we might be hosting our own cooking show on TV. Just wait and see, we will be super famous sharing one of these delicious Mashed Potato dishes on national television!!!

Ok enough of that shenanigans!  I have two favorite foods that need to be on the table during my Thanksgiving meal.  One is Pie.  If the whole meal was just pie, I would be ok with that, but the other is Mashed Potatoes, although I am never put in charge of them. This year after finding all these delicious recipes from other bloggers I just might give it a go! I get bored with the plain ol’ mashed potatoes and thought it would be fun to find a few new and yummy recipes to decide from this year.  Here are some that I found and am excited to try out!
