Romancing Daphne by Sarah M. Eden {Book Review}

June 13, 2017 by The Things I Love Most

If you haven’t read a book by Sarah Eden, here is a new one for you.  Romancing Daphne is her all new Regency Romance that you will love! If you have read the Book Seeking Persephone, this is about her Sister Daphne.

Romancing Daphne by Sarah M. Eden {Book Review}

Product Description:

As her first London Season looms before her, the thought of the impending social whirl fills Daphne Lancaster’s timid heart with dread. She hasn’t her sisters’ beauty nor their talent for conversing easily. Even her family’s enviable connections may not be enough to prevent disaster.

But Daphne’s misery turns to surprised delight when the first even of her Season brings an unexpected visitor to her door—James Tilburn, whose tender kindness stole her heart in her youth. When the handsome young gentleman expresses his desire to court her, Daphne is elated. Their feelings for each other quickly grow, and it appears that, much to Daphne’s disbelief, her happily ever after is within reach.

Yet nothing is as it seems. The couple finds themselves caught in a tangled web of greed and deceit, leaving James and Daphne to determine whether they are willing to risk everything for true love.

Romancing Daphne by Sarah M. Eden {Book Review}

My Review:

Sarah Eden does it again!  I have said it before about her books, but I always love them!  Every books she writes she puts so much effort into it. Research of the time period, her character development and the whole storyline are always so good!  I will say, Romancing Daphne was a little harder for me to get sucked into like most of her other books.  It was really good, but the first couple of chapters felt a little slow, but after that I loved it! I loved all the individual characters! I loved that the sweet story starts with her first crush!  She sees James at a party for her sister where she is hiding because she is too young to attend. James sees her and tells her that she has a pretty smile, which she has never heard before! She instantly falls in love with this older gentleman. I love the relationship she was with her sister and brother in law.  Though Adam is a very stern and ruthless character, he loves Daphne as his own sister and wants to see her happy!  This is a sweet, clean regency romance than anyone will love!

About the Author:

SARAH M. EDEN read her first Jane Austen novel in elementary school and has been an Austen addict ever since. Fascinated by the English Regency era, Eden became a regular in that section of the reference department at her local library, where she painstakingly researched this extraordinary chapter in history. Eden is an award-winning author of short stories and was a Whitney Award finalist for her novels Seeking Persephone and Courting Miss Lancaster. Visit her at www.sarahmeden.com.
