Encouraging Loved Ones to #BeGreatOutThere

July 7, 2016 by The Things I Love Most

This post, Encouraging Loved Ones to “Be Great Out There” was sponsored by Nature Valley as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central.Encouraging Other to "Be Great Out There"

Encouraging Love Ones to #BeGreatOutThere

Tonight was a big night for my daughter.  She had her first recital for violin since she started playing 6 years ago.  She has progressed slowly due to teachers moving, and playing in an orchestra, but she is getting so good and it’s fun to see her get better weekly. She hasn’t had any recitals in a very long time and when I went in while she was practicing to ask her about how she was feeling about her recital song she broke down crying.  She played it once though for me and it was not quite perfect but pretty good.  She felt scared and very very nervous.  I said to her, YOU ARE GOING TO BE GREAT OUT THERE!  I told her to say that to herself and to think in her mind that she is going to do the best she knows how and that she will do great! Those simple encouraging words lifted her spirit and I could see she was feeling better about herself! She got over her tears, and stood up and played the song 3 times perfect.  Tonight she did great!  She had confidence and played the song beautifully!  Encouraging Others to #BeGreatOutThere - you will be great out there

I do have to say that I got that phrase from this adorable video HERE. Saying that phrase to her worked!  I’m for sure going to use it more often!  I think it is so important in our daily lives to encourage those around us in the things they do, big or small.  General Mills Nature Valley® has partnered with Facebook and are encouraging us to send messages of love, support and encouragement to a loved one by letting them know they will #BeGreatOutThere!  Having support from others during life challenges whether big or small can help us so much emotionally.

We all could use uplifting word of encouragement from those around us daily.  If there is anyone in your life that has something big, or little coming up that they might need some encouragement for remember to send those words of encouragement. Encouraging Other to "Be Great Out There"When I was little I had this quote on my wall by Sister Camilla Kimball that said, “Never suppress a generous thought!” I have probably suppressed way to many generous or encouraging thoughts and need to do a lot better in my life! It is so important to support friends and family as they conquer their dreams or go through hard things! I’m sure we all know someone right now that could use some words of encouragement because they are going through something new, hard or scary. If you were in their situation you would love it if someone sent you a message!! A short word of encouragement through a call, text, video or Facebook message to let them know they will #BeGreatOutThere can make a huge difference. Share some encouraging words with someone who matters to you by telling them they’ll #BeGreatOutThere. Learn how to send  your own inspirational message HERE thanks to Nature Valley and Facebook!

There are many times in our children’s life especially where they might need encouraging words to help them along the way.  In school, in sports, with friends, there are so many times each day where we as parents should be encouraging and uplifting our children!  Encouraging Others to #BeGreatOutThere - you will be great out there

You Can Do Hard Things!

Here are just a few ways I have encouraged my family recently.  When my husband needed to sell a car, when my daughter was in a play and ran cross country, when my son was trying to get to the top of a hard rock climb, when my other son had his first pinewood derby race, and when my little boy had his first soccer game! You-Can-Do-hard-Things-1

A big thing we have always said to our kids is “You can do hard things!”  It has helped them reach a lot of goals by encouraging them that way, but I’m excited to say they will #BeGreatOutThere more often also!

Also, as a side note I just have to say that these new Nature Valley Biscuits with Almond Butter are my favorite!  You have got to try them or you can try what ever you want by using this coupon HERE to save on your next Nature Valley purchase!Nature Valley

Have an awesome day, and remember #BeGreatOutThere!!
